Candice Cameron Bure The social media break is officially over, but it seems she already has some second thoughts after “a lot of unkind comments.”
“I wished the blessings to everyone because I shared in the spirit of Happy New Year, yet many of you came back with jokes about our appearance and our criticism of what you thought would be a better picture,” Puri wrote. “You are embarrassed.”
“It doesn’t matter if you are ten or ninety years old being rude. Be better than that. I pray for humanity. Morals and respect. If you don’t like something, just go ahead. There are real people and feelings behind every screen.”

Bure refers to a vacation photo From herself stands next to her husband, Valerie Bure, and their three children: daughter Natasha, 22, and sons Lev, 20, and Maxim, 18, taking the charming country shot outside the home, without trees or traditional Christmas lights.
“Happy New Year from Bures!” She captioned the picture. “I look forward to what 2021 has in store for us. I pray for unity, grace, humility, compassion, and love for humanity. With God, all things are possible. Sending virtual hugs and kisses! XO.”
The post sparked a lot of holiday greetings from friends and followers, but it also attracted its fair share of “rude” criticism.
@ Smalltownmama3 commented “I love you but this photo is #hotmess! Are you all pictured? You have 3 different looks including some kids who look confused and frightened”.
User @ the_long_gun_44 added, “The Fakest family at all! Who does this? Is it a catalog picture? And these dead people look at your children’s faces and say it all.”
Later on Saturday, Puri addressed these “haters” directly.
“I posted my family’s picture on Christmas, and unfortunately, there were a lot of unpleasant comments,” she wrote. “Do you think it is funny to criticize someone’s children? Making jokes about them? Criticizing our attitudes? The direction we are looking in? Our physical appearance and facial expressions?”
“Please don’t tell me to ignore the“ haters. ”There were a lot of well-meaning people who thought it would be funny to point to things and share their comments,“ with love. ”Um … this is not love. This is rude. Try kindly. It looks good on everyone. “
Puri’s daughter Natasha also responded to the critics, commenting, “Oh my God !!!! I did not smile or look at the camera. Judge me!”
